WWW... (11/22)

WHAT ARE YOU READING NOW?

I just started reading ALL SHE EVER WANTED by Lynn Austin -- an ARC from Bethany House Publishers.

WHAT DID YOU JUST FINISH READING?

Just finished Khaled Hosseini's THE KITE RUNNER. It was an engaging tale, rich in little details, and filled with characters you come to care deeply about. Recommended. (It's my f2f book group's choice for November).

WHAT WILL YOU BE READING NEXT?

Probably either SKIPPING CHRISTMAS by John Grisham (for my online group, Amid_the_Pages), or FINDING ANNA by Christine Schaub (another ARC from Bethany House publishers).

Goings on

I've now been taking Spanish classes for 3 weeks, and I'm loving every minute of it! I can ask what a word means (?"Que quierer decir..."), and I can ask how you say a certain word in Spanish (?"Come se dice...?"), and I can say "My name is...". :o) I'm also building my vocabulary! It's too much fun! I'm really hoping to continue taking Spanish classes and to become fluent within the next couple of years! There's apparently another place nearby that offers FREE Spanish classes, so I plan to sign up there when this class ends. :-)

*********

I can feel Christmas in the air! The weeks have gotten busier, and the air has turned colder, and the leaves are almost all off the trees! All of the stores have their Christmas decorations out already (they were out just 2 days after Halloween!). And, I've even seen Christmas-y ads on television! :o? I'm anxious to put up my *artificial* tree! Every year I get it out on December 1st. Just a few more weeks! I'll pull out my
MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER Christmas CD -- includes "Handel's Messiah" -- and listen to that while I decorate my tree. It's a yearly tradition. ;) I'll probably put on the exterior lights, too, come Dec.1st!

I love Christmas!
